Overview
Our client is a financial services institution seeking a Business Analyst to join our EMEA/APAC PMO & Projects team. The scope of the role is across our whole business, with the majority of projects related to our investment business whether focused on Front Office, Regulatory change, Risk Management, or Operations.

Key deliverables/responsibilities

  • Analysis of Front office, Back Office, Regulatory, Compliance and Data requirements
  • Produce key project documentation (business requirements, functional specifications, test cases, operating model, etc.)
  • Perform functional testing and coordinate business user acceptance testing
  • Coordinate and lead meetings/workshops
  • Engagement with vendors and perform RFP/RFI assessments
  • Provide analysis support and leadership on some of the client’s most critical projects.
  • Engaging with, and presenting to, management, subject matter experts and IT professionals to gain the outcomes required.
  • As required, providing project management capability on the projects being worked on (dependent on project size/complexity).

Must have

  • Experience in an analytical role, working closely with both IT development teams and business users.
  • Experience with asset management and system development projects
  • Fixed income product knowledge (Bonds, Swaps, ETDs, FX & Loans), particularly in relation to data attributes and features of these products.
  • Possesses a good understanding of the front-to-back trade life cycle.
  • Experience in the key systems relating to asset management – Order Management, Investment Accounting, Reference Data.
  • An ability to understand complex problems and communicate them effectively to the business as well as to a technical audience.
  • An ability to work efficiently and effectively with a high level of activity and changing priorities.

Nice-to-have

  • Knowledge of Charles River, Bloomberg Reference Data and SimCorp
  • SQL
  • Data modelling
  • Strong Excel skills (not VBA)
